Cagayan’s Rina Andrea Delos Santos Crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2026
Rina Andrea Delos Santos of Ballesteros, Cagayan was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2026 during the grand coronation night held at the Malitbog Cultural Center. Besting 31 other environmental advocates, the community tour guide captured the coveted national title under this year’s official theme, “Love in Action.”
Delos Santos was formally crowned by the reigning Miss Earth 2025, Natálie Puškinová of the Czech Republic. Outgoing titleholder Joy Barcoma was absent from the event, marking a rare moment in the pageant's history where the previous queen did not perform a traditional final walk or hand over the crown herself.
The Winning Answer
Delos Santos solidified her lead during the crucial Top 5 question-and-answer portion. The finalists were asked how they would honor the global and environmental responsibilities of the crown in the spirit of love and action.
Drawing from her real-life experience as a local guide, Delos Santos delivered a standout closing statement:
"As a community tour guide, I'm not just ready for the crown, but I am ready for the environmental and global responsibility that comes with it... Love changes nothing unless it moves, and when it moves, it truly changes everything."
Her poignant response resonated with the panel of judges, emphasizing active environmental stewardship over mere words. In addition to the primary title, she also took home the Miss Hana special award.
The 2026 Elemental Court
The 26th edition of the pageant, hosted by media personality James Deakin, also named its new "Elemental Court" to assist in nationwide conservation efforts:
Miss Philippines-Air: Prima Joy Alamban (Tumauini, Isabela)
Miss Philippines-Water: Alyssa Mildred Villariña (Mandaluyong City)
Miss Philippines-Fire: Patricia Anne Nichole Bangug (Agoo, La Union)
Miss Philippines-Ecotourism: Roveelaine Eve Castillo (Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte)
As the newly minted environmental ambassador, Delos Santos will spearhead climate consciousness initiatives across the archipelago. She will soon begin her preparations to represent the Philippines at the international Miss Earth 2026 competition later this year, where she will vie for the country's fifth international crown.
