Marcos Jr. Marks Industrial Growth in Batangas, Visits LIMA Estate and High-Tech Facilities

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited the 1,100-hectare Lipa-Malvar (LIMA) Estate on Monday, September 7, 2026, to champion industrial and technological advancements in the region, highlighted by the first anniversary of the JERA-AboitizPower Global Technical Center of Excellence (GTCOE).

The President's tour commenced at the LIMA Experience Center, where he was briefed on a detailed mini-scale diorama mapping out the key infrastructure, current developments, and future expansion plans of the massive economic zone. The LIMA Estate currently hosts over 200 companies, generates around 75,000 jobs, and has drawn more than ₱128.9 billion in cumulative investments.

As a cornerstone of his visit, President Marcos Jr. graced the milestone 1st Anniversary of the JERA-AboitizPower GTCOE at LIMA Tower One. Established as a joint venture between AboitizPower and Japan's JERA, the center serves as a premier technical education hub, training Filipino energy professionals in world-class power generation and maintenance practices.

Following the anniversary celebration, the Chief Executive proceeded to the LIMA Technology Center for an on-site inspection of the Semi-Conductor Front of Line Operations facility operated by Littelfuse Philippines Inc. The President observed firsthand the facility's production lines, which manufacture vital electronic components and circuit protection solutions heavily utilized across global tech industries.

During his keynote address, President Marcos Jr. emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering a highly skilled workforce, praising institutions like the nearby Batangas State University (BSU) LIMA Campus for aligning academic curriculums with modern industrial requirements.
