St. Luke’s, PhilHealth Sign Pact to Boost Universal Health Care

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday witnessed the signing of a landmark agreement between St. Luke's Medical Center–Global City and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) aimed at expanding accessible, quality healthcare for Filipinos.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), titled "Strengthening Partnership for the Implementation of Benefit Packages and Policies," reinforces the government's Universal Health Care (UHC) agenda. Under the new partnership, St. Luke's will implement PhilHealth's No Co-Payment Policy for eligible members admitted to basic or ward accommodations, effectively eliminating out-of-pocket costs for patients.

The agreement was signed by PhilHealth Acting President and CEO Dr. Beverly Lorraine Ho and St. Luke's Medical Center President and CEO Dr. Dennis Serrano. Department of Health (DOH) Acting Secretary Edwin Mercado and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian were also present to support the health initiative.

President Marcos highlighted the deal as a major milestone, noting that collaborating with premier private institutions ensures that top-tier, world-class medical services become financially reachable for ordinary Filipino citizens
