President Marcos Receives Honorary Doctorate From PLM at 58th Commencement

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree, Honoris Causa, from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) during its 58th Commencement Exercises at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

The degree, which is the highest academic distinction bestowed by the university, was conferred by the PLM Board of Regents in recognition of the President's public service and leadership. During the ceremony, PLM University President Atty. Domingo Y. Reyes Jr. presented the diploma, highlighting the President's commitment to economic development and access to education.

Addressing the 2,674 graduates, President Marcos urged them to measure their success by the lives they impact. He emphasized that education must remain a pathway to opportunity and a cornerstone of nation-building.
