PhilSA Launches ‘Navigating Tomorrow’ Exhibit for Philippine Space Week 2026

The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) officially kicked off its annual celebration of Philippine Space Week, running from August 8 to 14, 2026. Centered on the theme "Navigating Tomorrow," the event highlights the nation's accelerating capabilities in satellite development, data utilization, and local space science applications.

A central highlight of the week-long celebration is the Philippine Space Week Interactive Exhibit, scheduled for August 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Quantum Skyview, Gateway Mall 2 in Araneta City, Quezon City.

The public exhibition features structural displays and interactive programs designed to showcase how space science directly benefits the lives of everyday Filipinos. Key features of the exhibit include:

• Satellite Technologies: Technical presentations detailing upstream space achievements, including updates on the Multispectral Unit for Land Assessment (MULA) satellite and local rocket development.
• Analog Space Missions: An exclusive public appearance by the eight-member Analog Habitat Waypoint Mission Crew sharing insights on human spaceflight training ahead of their upcoming deployment.
• Earth Observation Careers: A specialized panel organized by the EU Copernicus Data Centre, the European Union Delegation to the Philippines, and the Space Generation Advisory Council exploring local career pathways in space data.
• Cosmic Photography: A dedicated Astrophotography Exhibit presented by the Philippine Astronomical Society, showcasing deep-space captures taken entirely by local astronomers.

Observed annually under Proclamation No. 302, series of 2023, Philippine Space Week commemorates the enactment of the Philippine Space Act on August 8, 2019. Admission to the main exhibit at Gateway Mall 2 remains free and open to the general public.
