Regional Sounds and Flavors Collide: SULONG SEAPop Caravan Launches at SM City Manila

Southeast Asia’s vibrant music and diverse heritage will take center stage at the SM City Manila Event Center on Saturday, July 18, 2026, for the grand launch of the SULONG SEAPop Music and Culture Caravan.

Organized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), this landmark cultural festival brings together ASEAN communities, students, families, artists, and culture enthusiasts. The event coincides with the nationwide celebration of Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino (LMP). It aims to deepen regional ties through shared creative expression, artistic collaboration, and immersive cultural exchanges. Admission to the entire one-day festival is free.

The caravan is designed as a fully interactive space, offering attendees an experiential journey through the sounds, flavors, and traditions of Southeast Asia.

Intellectual exchange forms a core pillar of the caravan. The event features the latest installment of the NCCA’s ASEAN Lectures. This educational forum explores how modern pop music shapes, reflects, and unites contemporary Southeast Asian identities.

The event culminates in a massive, cross-border musical showcase on the main stage. Celebrating Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino, the concert unites top-tier homegrown talent with rising pop performers from across the region. Global P-pop sensation HORI7ON is among the headline acts set to perform.
