Miss Grand International Emma Tiglao Arrives in Malaysia for 2026 National Finals

Reigning Miss Grand International Emma Mary Tiglao has officially arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to serve as the guest of honor for the highly anticipated Miss Grand Malaysia 2026 pageant.

The Filipina beauty queen, who secured a historic back-to-back global victory for the Philippines in October 2025, touched down on July 20, 2026, to a warm reception from local organizers and pageant enthusiasts. Her multi-day visit highlights the growing international collaboration within the Miss Grand franchise.

A Royal Welcome in Kuala Lumpur

Tiglao’s arrival marks a major milestone for this year's Malaysian national cohort. Standing alongside her for the festivities is Teresa Chaivisut, the Chief Operating Officer of Miss Grand International PLC. Affectionately known within the industry as "Mami Teresa," Chaivisut is making her fifth consecutive annual visit to the country, reinforcing the global organization's strong partnership with the Miss Grand Malaysia national team.

Schedule of Events at Confetti KL

The reigning queen is scheduled for a packed itinerary running from July 21 to July 24. All primary stage events are being hosted live at the Confetti KL venue in Seri Kembangan:

• July 21, 2026: The Preliminary Competition, where contestants showcase their runway skills.
• July 23, 2026: The Grand Finals, featuring the formal crowning of the new national queen.

Tiglao will observe the contestants firsthand, assist the judging panel, and personally welcome the newly crowned Miss Grand Malaysia 2026 into the international sisterhood.

A Decorated Pageant Veteran

Before winning her international title over 76 global delegates in Bangkok, Tiglao established herself as a prominent television host, broadcast journalist, and news anchor in the Philippines. Her victory followed the reign of fellow Filipina queen Christine Julianne Opiaza, marking the first consecutive country win in Miss Grand International history. She currently balances her global duties alongside her role as the national director for Reina Filipinas.

The winner of the upcoming Malaysian finals will earn the right to represent her country at the Miss Grand International 2026 world stage later this year.
