Actress and beauty queen Herlene Budol has sparked widespread online discussion after exposing an alleged ₱150,000 indecent proposal for a "one-night stand" from an unnamed provincial governor, firmly declaring that "women are not for sale."

The Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 titleholder took to her official social media stories on Saturday, June 27, 2026, to share a screenshot of the direct message. The sender, introducing themselves as a provincial chief executive, explicitly asked for her availability in exchange for the hefty monetary sum.

A Fiery Rejection

Budol did not mince words in her response, immediately shutting down the proposition. In her reply to the individual, she told the sender to keep the ₱150,000 and use it for the benefit of their province instead.

"...sa'yo na 'yang ₱150,000 mo! Itulong mo na lang 'yan sa nasasakupan mong lugar.(...keep your ₱150,000. Use it to help your constituents and the residents of your province instead,)

Budol wrote in her message, which she later captioned with a bold public stance: "Women are not for sale!"

She subsequently confirmed in the comment section of her posts that she had blocked the account.

The reveal quickly went viral, drawing praise from netizens and fans who commended the actress for prioritizing her dignity and using her platform to stand up against the commodification of women.
