Acknowledging the regulatory action, the consumer finance company stated it respects the SEC’s mandate to protect consumer interests. While Home Credit has formally filed an appeal, the company emphasized that it remains compliant with all existing lending and debt collection regulations while the legal process unfolds.

"Fair and proper treatment of clients is essential to our operations," the company noted, adding that it continuously reviews and enhances its collection practices. This includes stricter oversight of customer relations and closer supervision of third-party collection partners to ensure adherence to ethical standards.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to responsible and ethical lending practices. However, because the matter is currently under active appeal, Home Credit stated it will refrain from providing further comments at this time.

The SEC order follows a specific consumer complaint regarding debt collection, which is now undergoing standard legal and regulatory review.
