Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a sharp condemnation following a series of missile and drone attacks on civilian infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates, describing the escalation as a grave threat to regional stability. In a formal statement, the Prime Minister expressed Pakistan's "unwavering solidarity" with the leadership and people of the UAE, emphasizing that such strikes on non-military targets are unacceptable.

Central to the Prime Minister’s address was the fragile security situation involving Tehran and Washington. Sharif stressed that it is “absolutely essential” for the current ceasefire between Iran and the United States to be upheld and respected by all parties. He warned that any collapse of the truce would jeopardize the diplomatic progress mediated in recent weeks, much of which has been facilitated through high-level talks in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a critical juncture, as the UAE’s air defenses continue to intercept a significant volume of ballistic missiles and drones launched toward its major cities. While the majority of these threats have been neutralized, the human cost has remained high; falling debris from these interceptions has previously resulted in casualties among foreign nationals, including members of the large Pakistani expatriate community residing in the Gulf. Sharif reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to supporting peace-building efforts to prevent the conflict from widening further into a broader regional war.
