Podcaster caught in cyber libel; 2 Vietnamese caught in illegal aesthetic clinic

The Cabuyao City Police Station in Laguna has arrested 75-year-old social media podcaster Josefino Caringal, better known as "Alyas Boy". An arrest warrant was served against Caringal for seven (7) counts of cyber libel stemming from his criticisms of the local government on social media. The court recommended bail of ₱80,000 for each count.

On the other hand, two Vietnamese nationals were also arrested in a raid by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at a high-end aesthetic clinic in Taguig City. According to the report, the foreigners were performing illegal medical treatments and cosmetic services without the proper licenses or permits from the government. The suspects are facing charges for violation of the Medical Act of 1959.
