LTO Launches "I-Report Mo Kay LTO Chief" to Crack Down on Road Violations
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) officially launched its new digital feedback and reporting platform today, April 27, 2026, aimed at empowering the public to report road incidents in real-time.
The initiative, titled "I-report Mo Kay LTO Chief," was introduced by LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao during a press briefing to improve the agency’s responsiveness to road safety concerns.
Key Features of the Platform
Citizens can submit reports on road accidents, traffic violations (such as road rage or reckless driving), and colorum (unauthorized) public transport operations. Complaints can be filed through the official website at ireportmokayltochief.ph, via Facebook Messenger on the program’s official page, or through a dedicated 24/7 hotline at 1342-586.
A dedicated task force has been formed to process these reports. According to Asec. Lacanilao, the agency aims to issue a Show Cause Order within two to three days of receiving a report backed by clear evidence. The platform is also designed to receive reports regarding LTO personnel misconduct, including allegations of corruption or extortion.
Strengthening Road Safety
This digital shift follows a series of high-profile road incidents and is part of a broader government strategy to reduce road accident deaths by 35% by 2028. The LTO encourages motorists and commuters to document incidents with photos or videos to ensure faster validation and legal action.
"Our goal is to make reporting more accessible," Lacanilao stated, emphasizing that a driver’s license is a privilege that will be revoked for those who consistently endanger lives.
