CHURCH LEADER URGES VP SARA TO FACE IMPEACHMENT PANEL
The Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI), through the Diocese of Northern Isabela, has called on Vice President Sara Duterte to personally attend the upcoming hearing of the House Committee on Justice regarding the impeachment complaints filed against her.
Rt. Rev. Alvin V. Valera emphasized that the public has long been waiting for the Vice President’s direct response to the evidence and allegations presented throughout the proceedings. The church leader noted that her presence is crucial for transparency and would provide an opportune time to demonstrate respect for constitutional processes.
The appeal comes as the committee prepares for what could be its final hearing on Wednesday, April 29, where it is expected to tackle issues including alleged misuse of confidential funds and reported threats against top government officials
